Safe Mounting, Spring Setup, and Angle Adjustment

The guide calls for a two-person install in indoor, dry conditions, keeping the ladder closed until fully mounted; prep a square, level opening 0.39–0.79" larger than the box, remove the ladder/chains to lighten the lift, then with the stairs closed install the “a” springs per the table, assemble arms A/B with the washer (tighten ~90%), and prep the lock handle.

Install temporary support boards (rated for 154.3 lbs), set and level the box, fasten it at least six points (including three on the long side), then reinstall the ladder, add the “b” springs with the stairs closed, remove the boards, and open the ladder with the rod.

Finish by ensuring the arms sit against the limiters and the ladder angle is ≤65° (remove modules if needed); it’s unsafe if the angle is >65°, the arms don’t reach the stops, or the ladder is too short, and maintenance includes lubrication, twice-yearly tightening checks, and a 330-lb max load per the label/manual.
